The material is a little grindy ...but not from the inside. The dress falls around 2 inches below my knees (I'm 5'1). I wasn't sure if I was going to like the dress and I was right. I LOVE IT. I was pleasantly surprised in how well it laid on me, a curvy girl. The bottom portion is very flattering and moves with your hips. The top lace is gorgeous and well this dress exceeded my expectations.It does have a little stretch.
